Ricardo Teodoro was born on 17 June 1988 in Governador Valadares, Brazil. He is a film, television and theatre actor. He began acting in 2008, in the town of Governador Valadares. He has a degree in theatre and a postgraduate diploma in cultural management.<\/p>\n

After Cyclone and Not\u00edcias Populares (2023), his breakthrough came in 2024 with the film Baby, winner of the Louis Roederer Foundation Revelation Award at the 63rd Critics’ Week in Cannes.<\/p>\n

The film depicts a complex relationship between a young former delinquent and the mature man – played by Ricardo Teodoro, chosen after a public internet appeal by the director – who takes him under his wing.<\/p>\n

After leaving a juvenile detention centre, Wellington finds himself alone and adrift on the streets of S\u00e3o Paulo. He has no news of his parents and no resources with which to start a new life. He meets Ronaldo, a mature man who teaches him new ways to survive.
