The Louis Roederer Foundation, which addresses issues of sustainability and livability through its \u201cThinking Sustainability\u201d<\/em> programme, is inviting Alia Bengana, winner of the 2026 Villa Medici x Louis Roederer Foundation Production Grant, to a discussion on sustainability challenges in architecture on Thursday 17 September, at the Jeu de Paume.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n\n\n <\/section>\n\n\n

The evening will begin with a screening of \u201cAu pays des pierres<\/em>\u201d, a documentary by Atelier Gemin\u00e9 that explores the connections between materials, territory, craftsmanship, and the transmission of knowledge. It will continue with a roundtable discussion on ways to design architecture that is more understated, sustainable, and rooted in local contexts, featuring:<\/div>\n
\u2022 Alia Bengana<\/strong>, architect, professor, and researcher, discussing her work on constructive simplicity and the judicious use of resources;
\n\u2022 Antoine Basile<\/strong> (Atelier Gemin\u00e9), architect and documentary filmmaker;
\n\u2022 Gr\u00e9goire Dumont<\/strong> (Dumont Legrand Architectes), practicing architect.<\/div>\n
