15 years of commitment to creativity and research

09/03/2026

The year 2026 marks a milestone for the Foundation: its 15th anniversary, the 250th anniversary of its parent company, the 20th anniversary of the Louis Roederer Foundation Research Grant for Photography at the Bibliothèque nationale de France, and the Bicentenary of photography.

To celebrate these anniversaries, the Louis Roederer Foundation creates unique cultural initiatives by opening them widely to the public and fostering new dialogues between disciplines.

The Louis Roederer Foundation is launching the Pichon Comtesse Prize in partnership with the Philharmonie de Paris, as part of the first edition of the EXPLORE Festival, co-created by both institutions. This biennial Prize supports emerging talents selected with the support of the Centres Nationaux de Création Musicale (CNCM). The winning composition will be performed during a public concert at Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande in Pauillac, France.

To celebrate the Bicentenary of Photography and highlight its new field of action – music –, the Foundation is creating a dialogue between music and photography with pianist Aline Piboule and photography historian Michel Poivert at the Philharmonie de Paris.

To mark the 20th anniversary of the Louis Roederer Foundation Research Grant for Photography with the Bibliothèque nationale de France, the Foundation organizes a series of talks with all past grant recipients.

To celebrate its 15th anniversary within the 250th anniversary of the Louis Roederer Champagne House, the Louis Roederer Foundation pays tribute to the city of Reims, where it was born, by inviting choreographer Dimitri Chamblas to create a dance performance conceived with and for local residents, in front of Reims Cathedral.

The Foundation affirms a strong vision of singularity, rigor, and coherence through long-term commitments alongside historical partners, artists, and researchers. It embraces risk-taking to pursue original, bold, and authentic projects, true to the spirit of Louis Roederer Champagne House: defending freedom of thought and cultivating a unique identity.
