Julie Joubert

Born 1989 in Paris, France, Julie Joubert lives and works in Montreuil, France.

A graduate of the École des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, Julie Joubert explores the genre of portraiture. Situated between fine art and documentary photography, her work addresses themes of identity, youth, and representations of masculinity. Her work has been shown in France and across Europe, notably at the Salon de Montrouge, Galerie du Jour agnès b., Photo Doc., and at 28 Piazza di Pietra gallery in Rome, as well as at festivals such as Hyères, Les Boutographies, Discovery Awards, Imago Lisboa (Portugal), and PhEST (Italy). In 2024, she was selected for the national commission Regards du Grand Paris (Ateliers Médicis and Cnap). Her first book, MIDO, was published in 2021 by KAHL Editions.
