In touch with time and geography, François-Xavier Gbré’s work uses the language of architecture as a witness to memory and social change. From colonial vestiges to landscapes redefined by current events, he explores territories and revisits history. The constant dialogue with his environment is reflected in the form of meticulous installations, a veritable investigation of the territory, or through a site-specific presentation in which photography resonates in a physical relationship with the viewer.
