60. O’Lamiento by Alvise Sinivia, winner of the Pichon Comtesse Prize
16/04/2026
To mark the first edition of EXPLORE, the Philharmonie de Paris’s experimental music festival co-created with the Louis Roederer Foundation, the jury of the Prix Pichon Comtesse awarded the prize to the composition 60. O’Lamiento by the artist Alvise Sinivia, which was premiered during the MUSIC PROMENADE concert on Monday 13 April 2026.
The Louis Roederer Foundation has launched the Pichon Comtesse Prize, drawing inspiration from the operatic training of Nicolas Glumineau, Managing Director of Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande, an exceptional oenologist and music enthusiast. The Pichon Comtesse Prize is a new biennial prize for musical composition, which supports young talents identified with the help of the eight National Centres for Musical Creation (CNCM).
The composition 60. O’Lamiento will receive a prize of €5,000 and will be performed at a concert at Château Pichon Comtesse Longueville de Lalande in Pauillac in autumn 2026.

The eight artists invited to perform at the closing event of the EXPLORE festival and the 30th-anniversary celebrations of the Centres Nationaux de Création Musicale (CNCM) offered a unique listening experience by presenting a constellation of distinctive voices. A sense of collective spirit permeated the entire curated performance programme presented over the course of the three-hour concert.
Amidst this profusion of compositions and the many aesthetic approaches generated by the collective, the jury of the Pichon Comtesse Prize was particularly moved by Alvise Sinivia’s work 60. O’ Lamiento for prepared piano and the two voices of Isabelle Duthoit and Elise Dabrowski. This trio, exploring variations in timbre and the creation of unexpected harmonic landscapes, left a distinctive mark and colour on the evening.
It’s as though Alvise Sinivia composed 60. O’Lamiento in the same way he would blend a wine if he were a winemaker… A score as taut as an arrow, like the tannic structure of a racy Cabernet Sauvignon in perfect balance with these ethereal and organic voices, like a smooth, flavourful Merlot. Wine and music: to move us and to share.
