Architecture & Sustainability event at the Jeu de Paume
10/09/2026 – Paris
The Louis Roederer Foundation, which addresses issues of sustainability and livability through its “Thinking Sustainability” programme, is inviting Alia Bengana, winner of the 2026 Villa Medici x Louis Roederer Foundation Production Grant, to a discussion on sustainability challenges in architecture on Thursday 17 September, at the Jeu de Paume.
The evening will begin with a screening of “Au pays des pierres”, a documentary by Atelier Geminé that explores the connections between materials, territory, craftsmanship, and the transmission of knowledge. It will continue with a roundtable discussion on ways to design architecture that is more understated, sustainable, and rooted in local contexts, featuring:
• Alia Bengana, architect, professor, and researcher, discussing her work on constructive simplicity and the judicious use of resources;
• Antoine Basile (Atelier Geminé), architect and documentary filmmaker;
• Grégoire Dumont (Dumont Legrand Architectes), practicing architect.
