Riti Sengupta

Riti Sengupta is an artist and designer working primarily with the photographic medium. She holds a Master of Design in Photography from the National Institute of Design and was awarded a Goethe-Institut scholarship in 2016 to participate in an exchange programme at the Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst in Leipzig, Germany. Her practice explores issues of identity, memory and gender politics. In addition to photography, Riti Sengupta uses media such as text, found information, collage and illustration. Through her work, she aims to deconstruct the way in which women are generally represented in Indian photography.
