The Louis Roederer Foundation is launching the Pichon Comtesse Award, a musical composition award that will be part of the EXPLORE festival, co-created with the Philharmonie de Paris, which will take place from April 10 to 13, 2026.
In 2026, the Louis Roederer Foundation will launch the Pichon Comtesse Award in partnership with the Philharmonie de Paris. This biennial music composition award aims to support young talents discovered with the help of the Centres Nationaux de Création Musicale (CNCM). The commissioned works will be performed during the MUSIC PROMENADE concert on Monday, April 13, 2026, as part of the EXPLORE festival, which will be held for the first time at the Philharmonie de Paris thanks to the Foundation’s exclusive support.
The winning work, selected by an international jury, will receive a prize of €5,000 and will be presented at a concert at Château Pichon Comtesse in Pauillac on October 10, 2026.

Alongside its longstanding commitment to major cultural institutions, the Louis Roederer Foundation creates its own cultural initiatives in the Roederer Collection* vineyards. Exploring the fields of creation and thought, each of these events celebrates a distinct artistic style.
In 2026, the Louis Roederer Foundation launched the Pichon Comtesse Prize. Audrey Bazin, the Foundation’s artistic director, has devised a unique partnership with the Philharmonie de Paris to create this musical composition award, inspired by the operatic training of Nicolas Glumineau, managing director of Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande, an exceptional oenologist and music lover.
Organisation du Prix Pichon Comtesse :
- During the first, the Philharmonie de Paris is collaborating with the Centres Nationaux de Création Musicale (CNCM) to identify and showcase promising talent, regardless of their artistic style. Each of these artists will receive a commission for an original composition.
- The following year, each original composition will be performed at the Philharmonie de Paris during the EXPLORE festival, co-created with the Louis Roederer Foundation.
An international jury, made up of renowned figures from the world of music selected by the artistic director of the Louis Roederer Foundation, will choose one of the compositions to be performed during a concert at Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande in Pauillac.
