Genesis
Inspired by the spellbinding geography of this natural setting and the maritime passion of Jean-François Ott – Managing Director of Domaines Ott* – the Foundation has come up with Mobilis in Mobile, an event whose name echoes the motto of Captain Nemo and his Nautilus in Jules Verne’s Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea. Celebrating the perpetual movement of water and the fluidity of words, this event offers an unprecedented literary immersion.
Programme
The event will be held on Saturday, June 14.
Before the readings, you can visit the winery, explore the estate and attend a performance by author and artist Laure Limongi, former Villa Medici resident.
Great texts of world literature inspired by the sea, will be performed by actors Charles Berling, Anne Consigny, Marianne Basler, Bruno Putzulu and Richard Sammel. Author Colette Fellous will introduce the readings.
A look back at the 2024 edition
The first edition of Mobilis in Mobile was held at Domaines Ott* on Saturday, October 5, 2024.
Suliane Brahim, a member of the Comédie-Française, Anne Brochet, Julie Gayet, François Marthouret, Bruno Putzulu and Stéphane Olivié Bisson breathed life into these stories, in which the sea, in all its immensity, becomes in turn a theater of human adventure and a mirror of the soul. The readings were introduced by Denis-Michel Boëll, former General Curator of the Musée National de la Marine and author of Dictionnaire insolite de la mer.
