Slow Show, created by Dimitri Chamblas for the Louis Roederer Foundation, will be a performance but also an opportunity for local residents to meet and come together around an artistic creation. This suspended moment will offer a wide audience a collective performance, allowing them to experience states, intensities and rhythms both as participants and as spectators. This performance will highlight movements drastically slowed down almost imperceptible, thereby demonstrating the rapidity of a world that, through its very speed, eludes us.

These bodily movements will be accompanied by waves of sound composed of samples, electronic music and real sounds from the city of Reims, created for the occasion by composer Eddie Ruscha.

I was drawn to the nature of the Louis Roederer Foundation’s proposal because it immediately focused on participation, inclusion and the collective experience. I love working with the people who live in and make up the city of Reims, and it’s a wonderful way to celebrate an anniversary!
