The 66th Edition of the Aix-en-Provence Festival

It has been named ‘Best Festival’ at the London Opera Awards ceremony and we experienced an Aix-en-Provence version of ‘the Rossini effect’ in conjunction with the atmosphere of vibrant energy of a golden city that is eternally drawn to challenges. This is quite natural, as it is well known that the theatre, music, video, and, of course, opera have permeated and infused every alley and part of this city; this is particularly true of opera as a whole in the city, rather than any particular operatic work.
