Every year, the Louis Roederer Foundation supports the Fellows’ end-of-year exhibition, an artistic gathering at the crossroads of various practices, from visual arts to musical composition, literature, cinema, and art history.
Running from June 28 to September 8, 2025 and commissioned by Lilou Vidal, the exhibition entitled ‘Cambiare la prosa del mondo’ (‘Changing the world’s prose’) is a reference to the text by Italian poet Amelia Rosselli, whose rhythmic, dissident language disrupts the foundations of standardized language and dominant narratives.
The Fellows, living the residency as a laboratory for experiment, are linked by their shared experience at Villa Medici, which creates some unexpected resonances and collaborations.
Fellows 2024-2025
Haig Aivazian, Bianca Bondi, Jérôme Clément-Wilz, Nicolas Daubanes, Abdessamad El Montassir, Alessandro Gallicchio, Amalia Laurent, Pierre-Yves Macé, Clovis Maillet, Nicolas Sarzeaud, Claudia Jane Scroccaro, Seynabou Sonko, Ana Vaz, Pierre Von-Ow, Lise Wajeman, Louisa Yousfi.
The exhibition is characterized by the diversity of artistic practices represented, from literature to music, art history, visual arts, photography and cinema. This visual narrative is punctuated by sentences chosen by the residents from Amelia Rosselli’s work, like a text deconstructed in the pages of a book without beginning nor end. Responding to the poet’s words and contaminating the walls of the exhibition rooms, this process of random co-writing reflects both a collective breath and the expression of 16 singularities.
