THINKING SUSTAINABILITY INVOLVMENT
Climate change poses a serious threat to all living things. As climate-related pressures intensify, heritage green spaces face growing dangers—ranging from extreme weather events to changes in ecosystems—endangering both biodiversity and horticultural traditions and expertise.
In 2026, the Louis Roederer Foundation launched an “Involvement” initiative dedicated to actions supporting life on Earth and biodiversity. It supports programs aimed at preserving and passing on heritage gardens, as well as outreach initiatives targeting children.
WORLD MONUMENTS FUND
In 2026, the Louis Roederer Foundation is partnering with the World Monuments Fund (WMF) to protect and restore historic and cultural gardens and landscapes by supporting the “Cultivating Resilience” initiative under the “Climate Heritage” program. From urban parks to indigenous agricultural systems, the “Cultivating Resilience” projects reflect the diversity of heritage ecosystems around the world. In collaboration with local communities, the nonprofit has been helping to preserve centuries-old practices and share its scientific and logistical expertise since 1965. In France, WMF is supporting the restoration and protection of the Potager du Roi in Versailles.

DOMAINE DU RAYOL – THE MEDITERRANEAN GARDEN
The Louis Roederer Foundation supports the Domaine du Rayol – The Mediterranean Garden in its mission to raise awareness of biodiversity among young people. A unique property of the Conservatoire du littoral, the Domaine du Rayol is a 20-hectare historic garden landscaped by Gilles Clément during its restoration in 1989. The Domaine du Rayol, accredited by the French Ministry of Education, organizes educational school visits to familiarize children with plant heritage and everyone’s responsibility toward living things. The restoration of the botanist’s house is thus dedicated to creating an immersive program on plants, designed for young visitors.
