Philharmonie de Paris
Whether a piece of work is in images, words or notes, it is an invisible but undeniable link between people. We all agree that music has incomparable power and reach that transcend borders and generations. The Louis Roederer Foundation is delighted to support music through the Philharmonie de Paris.

Philharmonie x Klaus Mäkelä
In 2024, the Louis Roederer Foundation supported the Orchestre de Paris’ North American tour as it returned after a 20-year absence.
With young prodigy Klaus Mäkelä conducting, the orchestra revived the emblematic repertoire of Stravinsky’s Ballets Russes, created in Paris in 1907 under Serge de Diaghilev. The cultural link between France and the United States naturally revolved around Stravinsky, who spent a large part of his life in America after emigrating there.
The resolutely modern interpretation of these works favoured a renewal of forms of expression while sketching out a veritable ‘pas de deux’ between music and image.
Attracting almost 12,000 spectators, this tour enabled the Louis Roederer Foundation to join in the Philharmonie’s cultural missions of sharing and promoting the world’s musical heritage.
It is a great honour for me to tour North America and Canada with the Orchestre de Paris and to present works that are in keeping with the heritage and spirit of this orchestra. The musicians of the Orchestre de Paris have a very distinctive French sound and their way of playing brings something essential to this music. All orchestras should play Stravinsky and Debussy like the Orchestre de Paris!
