A look back at the Slow Show marking the 15th anniversary of the Louis Roederer Foundation

24/05/2026

On Saturday 23 May, to mark its 15th anniversary, the Louis Roederer Foundation paid tribute to the city of Reims, where it was founded. On the forefront of the cathedral, locals and visitors gathered for the Slow Show Louis Roederer Foundation x Dimitri Chamblas, a moment of stillness, where the slowing of the pace invited everyone to experience the rhythm of the world in a different way.

Slow Show, created by Dimitri Chamblas for the Louis Roederer Foundation, is a performance but also a way for local residents to meet and come together around an artistic creation. This suspended moment offered a wide audience a collective performance, allowing them to experience states, intensities and rhythms both as participants and as spectators. This performance, highlighting movements slowed to the extreme, almost imperceptible, thus highlights the rapidity of the world, which, through its speed, eludes us.

For the occasion, composer Eddie Ruscha created waves of sound made up of samples, electronic elements and real sounds from the city of Reims, accompanying these bodily movements.

This shared moment marks a significant collective occasion, reflecting the Foundation’s commitment: foster dialogue between contemporary art and the wider public.

The Louis Roederer Foundation and Studio Dimitri Chamblas would like to thank the residents of Reims who enthusiastically took part in this performance, as well as partner organisations including the Manège – scène nationale, FRAC, ESAD, Association des Maisons de Quartier, Institut Georges Chappaz de la Vigne et du Vin en Champagne, Opéra de Reims, Conservatoire de Reims, Sciences-Po Reims, the Louis Roederer House…

With the support of the City of Reims and l’Archidiocèse de Reims.
